Google Chrome is more than just a web browser; it’s a powerful productivity tool packed with features that can transform your everyday browsing experience. Whether you’re an admin managing multiple tasks or a user looking to enhance your workflow, this article will reveal some of the best tips and tricks to make Google Chrome your ultimate ally.
At Cloud Sultans, our mission is to help small and large businesses better collaborate and achieve high productivity with their teams by maximizing the power of Google Workspace (formerly GSuite).
🏷️ Organize with Tab Groups
If your browser feels cluttered with tabs, Google Chrome’s tab grouping feature is a game-changer. With just a few clicks, you can group related tabs, assign them names, and even color-code them for easier identification. Collapse the groups to reduce screen clutter and expand them when needed.
You can start adding a single tab to the “Tab Group” first and then add the other tabs individually to that Tab Group. Alternatively, you can select & add multiple tabs to a Tab group if needed.
1. To create the Tab Groups, first select the browser tab and right click the tab to see the option named “Add tab to group”

2. Now you need to provide the Group name (Group1) and just hit the “Enter” key.

3. Now you can select other tab and right click on that tab to add it to the tab group named Group1.

4. You can hold the Ctrl (command for Mac) key and then select the different tabs individually from a Chrome window and just do the righ click while selecting the last tab and then again use the “Add tab to Group” option.

5. Now add those tabs to a new group named Group2.

📌 Pin Tabs for Quick Access
For frequently used tabs, the pin tab feature ensures they’re always within reach. Pinned tabs are minimized and anchored to the left, saving space and making your browsing more efficient. These tabs even reopen automatically when you launch Chrome again a handy feature for your go-to tools or websites. You can right click on the tab and then simply select the option “Pin”

This is how a pinned tab looks like and if you have pinned multple tabs then it may look as following.
